Once the Player reaches level 99 in the Fletching skill, a Master Skill cape becomes unlocked, which grants the player levels in the Fletching skill. With 99 Fletching a user can craft all fletchable OSRS items.
Fletching is a skill that involves creating equipment which players can use in ranged combat.
Getting Started: Quests
Instead of starting at level 1 and using basic skilling methods, a player can complete a number of quests to raise the user’s level without actually training the skill. Beginner quests that grant Fletching experience are: Animal Magnetism, Big Chompy Bird Hunting, and Zogre Flesh Eaters. These particular quests will give 3,262 experience points in total and raise the player’s Fletching level from 1 to 18. A more experienced player may then complete Temple of Ikov and The Fremennik Trials which will grant 10,812 experience. The player’s level after questing will be raised to level 30. This is the preferred method for those who don’t wish to spend OSRS gold for items to train the skill from level 1.
Skilling
After the quests have been completed, a player will need to level up their Fletching level using methods directly associated with the skill itself. The methods are broken down into two categories: the zero-time method and the Semi-Zero Time method.
Zero-Time Method:
This method allows for the player to complete other objectives throughout the world of Gielinor while simultaneously training Fletching. A set of darts requires two clicks and minimal inventory space when being created, which gives the highest experience points in the Fletching skill. Creating bolts also falls under this method but does not give nearly as much experience as darts. The upside to this method is that a player can train the Fletching skill while also completing quests and training other skills such as Agility and Farming. The downside to this method is the amount of OSRS gold needed to purchase expensive items such as dart tips in order to craft equipment for experience. Some websites allow players to buy OSRS gold to aid in this problem.
Semi-Zero Time Method:
The Semi-Zero Time method is similar to the Zero-Time method in that the player can complete other tasks throughout Gielinor while deploying this method. However, this method is slower because, unlike the Zero-Time method, the user is required to make several more clicks. This method is hindered also by the repeating occurrence of a dialogue box between the creation of equipment in the user’s inventory. Some items created using this method are: Bolts (adding tips to bolts), arrows and javelins. The experience given by the materials used to create high-level items is elevated but requires plenty of OSRS gold and may not be available in high volume. Some websites have OSRS accounts for sale that have high level Fletching levels.
More Methods
Not all users attempt to utilize the quickest possible methods when training Fletching, especially those who enjoy a more casual experience. If the player has opted out of completing the quests which grant fletcher experience, they can start by crafting arrow shafts out of wood logs which requires a knife. This method is slow but because of the low experience points needed to acquire new levels at the beginning of the skill, it shouldn’t take long to progress quickly and doesn’t require much OSRS gold. After the player reaches level 5 the user is ready to craft bows until level 99. While this method is straightforward and doesn’t require much OSRS gold, the action of creating a equipment and leveling up is extremely slow and for that reason the Zero-Time, and Semi-Zero Time method is recommended. If a user wishes to bypass the slowness of crafting bows from level 5 to level 99, then the player can opt to fletch battlestaves from level 40 to level 80, however this method requires an exorbitant amount of OSRS gold. Finally, the last recommended method can take place when a player reaches level 92 Fletching. When this level is reached a user may craft Redwood shields until level 99. The construction of Redwood shields grants 216 experience per shield and the redwood logs require a lot of OSRS gold but is the ideal method for casual players to reach max level.
