Step 1. Import Your Video

Open MiniTool MovieMaker and close the pop-up window, then click the Import Media Files to browse for your videos, select them and click the Open. Then drag and drop them to the timeline.

Step 2. Add Text to Video

MiniTool MovieMaker allows you to add titles, captions, and end credits to a video.

Add Titles:

  • Select the first clip on the timeline, go to Text> Title, choose and preview a title template, click the + to add it.
  • Go to Text Editor, type your text. Then edit the text color, font, size, and more.

  • Choose a video, go toText > Captions, select a template, click the + to add it.
  • Then you can drag the text track to change its position on the video, and drag either edge to change its duration.
  • Go to the Text Editor to change the text as you like.

  • Go to Text> Credits, choose one template and drag it to the desired place on the timeline.
  • Go to the Text Editor to add and edit your text.

Step 3. Export a Video

You can continue to edit the video as you like. To export the video, click the Export, then choose the output folder and format, and give this video a name, then click the Export to export the video.

Step 1. Upload Your Video

Open Clipchamp in a web browser, and then log into your account. Click the Create a video to open the editor window. Tap the big + icon to import your video, and then add it to the timeline.

  • Click the T(text) icon on the left side, then you’ll see many options. Hover your cursor over them to see what each text template looks like.
  • When you find the desired titles template, click the +to add it to the timeline, then a text track will appear above the video clip.
  • Move the text track to change its location, and drag the edges to change the text length.
  • Tap the Ticon at the top to enter your text and choose the font. Click the text track and select the Colors to edit the text color.

Add Subtitles or End Credits:

  • Click the Ticon, scroll down to the Caption, and choose a caption style. To add end credits, choose the Credits Roll in the Special section.
  • Click the +to add the text track to the timeline, and then follow the above steps to add and edit your text.

Step 3. Export and Save Video

  • Click the Exportat the top right corner, then choose video quality.
  • Clipchamp will automatically export the video on your computer.

With the two methods, you can easily add text to videos. Both two video editors let you add titles, subtitles (captions), and end credits to a video. The difference is that MiniTool MovieMaker will add a separate clip before or after your clip while adding titles or credits, but Clipchamp only adds titles and end credits on the video.
