Natural Home Remedies to Get Rid of Hangover

Natural Home Remedies to Get Rid of Hangover

by molly famwat Leave a Comment

Hangovers are common for people who have been to multiple parties or attended them in the past. How bad your hangover is will depend on how much fun you had at the previous party. A hangover can manifest as headaches, nausea or dizziness, irritability due to alcohol overdrinks, muscle aches, and headaches. Moderate or complete abstinence from alcohol is the best way to avoid a hangover. A hangover can be minimized by drinking moderately and eating well. Although time is the best treatment for hangovers, many people don’t realize the importance of prevention and don’t have the “time” to find the cure. If you don’t know how to treat it, you will find yourself in trouble if you attend multiple parties over some time.

Home Remedies for Hangovers

These simple yet effective methods will help you get rid of a hangover quickly so that your drinking habit can resume. Even though you might dread it, you can’t avoid a hangover if you love alcohol.

Get enough water and sports drinks

According to the convention, all symptoms are caused by excessive alcohol intake. A hangover powder helps you to get rid of dehydration from alcohol, which is a diuretic. Experts recommend drinking 16-20 ounces of fluid before you go to bed. You will feel much better if you replace the fluid that you have lost. All fluids are helpful, including water, juice, and Gatorade.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast

A hearty breakfast is the best way to get over a hangover. A good breakfast can help you maintain your blood sugar levels. Low blood sugar levels may not cause a hangover, but they are often associated with it, and low blood sugar levels can cause diarrhoea or nausea.

Coffee

Many people love a mug of coffee with breakfast, regardless of whether they are hungover. A cup of coffee is a great way to get up in the morning and be alert at work. This is not a good idea for patients with migraines as it can cause headaches rather than curing them. To treat a hangover cure, don’t drink caffeine.

Exercise

Your body can metabolize alcohol in just over an hour, and this is why the “sweat out” theory doesn’t work. An intense workout can boost your mood and reduce sluggishness thanks to the release of endorphins. A few extra calories can help you forget about the amount of alcohol you have consumed. To avoid further dehydration from sweating out during a workout, make sure to keep your water bottle nearby.

Hair of the Dog

This is basically how to cut a diamond with a diamond. People swear by this method to eliminate hangover symptoms. Although this is mostly based on myths there is some evidence that drinking the next day can reduce hangover symptoms. It is important to be aware of your limits. This could lead to irreparable alcohol abuse. Use your discretion.

Ginger Root

According to Indian cuisine, the Indian kitchen has all the cures for most common diseases and bodily problems. Ginger has been used for nausea and seasickness since ancient times, and this simple remedy works well because a hangover can be very similar to being seasick. Drink ginger ale, even if you feel heavy. If you can stand for at least 10 minutes, make ginger tea, which should be enough to seal the deal.

Honey and lemons

Hot honey, lemon and water are easy to swallow, and they replenish fluids and sugars lost from hangovers. Use honey, not white sugar. Honey is high in fructose which can hinder alcohol metabolism, and plain sugar is made up of sucrose which is slower to absorb. Make a toddy by boiling 1 cup of water, adding honey and lemon juice as needed. This is the traditional, non-alcoholic toddy that soothes hangovers. You can have a toddy multiple times per day.
