“Conor McGregor Lives This Big Life, Too,” Daniel Cormier says, comparing McGregor’s attitude to that of WWE icon Ric Flair.
In the Wrestling Industry, the UFC and WWE are the two most popular sporting events. It’s no secret that two of these events crossed paths on numerous occasions. Daniel Cormier, former UFC player and 2 times UFC champion has been in the headlines for many times now. Cormier recently spoke out about Conor McGregor’s altercation with Machine Gun Kelly at the VMAs. While this isn’t the first occasion McGregor has been engaged in a situation like this beyond the Octagon, it is the most recent.
Not to mention that DC is concerned that McGregor’s unusual act has taken over his true identity, which looks pretty true at this extent. McGregor was also referred to as the WWE icon Ric Flair by Daniel Cormier. ‘Nature Boy’ had a great temperament and always had a part to play in the ring of WWE. He, on the other hand, transformed that identity through his own self and led a wildlife. McGregor, according to DC, has been doing that for quite some time.
Cormier stated about McGregor that “What’s the most bizarre thing about McGregor? The billionaire, the strut, the luxury cars, and the money are all part of the illusion. Because, in the end, it’s all about the WWE. You’re given a persona. Vince McMahon might be the character.”
He also added “Ric Flair is always being Ric Flair, kissing the girls, using them and making them cry, Woo! That sort of thing. Flair on the other hand, never quit when he struck the back corner. Ric Flair was his stage name for the rest of his life. And that was eventually his downfall”.
And at last he compared McGregor with Ric Flair by saying “Ric Flair is still fighting at the age of 60. That’s not practical because he had made a lot of money and was living such a careless lifestyle. Conor McGregor is a fighter and he, on the other hand, also has a big life. That’s when I wonder if the gimmick has taken over Conor McGregor’s identity as a person like Ric Flair?”. $180 Million is the estimated Conor McGregor net worth currently. Also, not to forget that McGregor also talked about his recovery from Injuries.
Conor McGregor spoke about his recovery
McGregor is still healing from a shocking leg break sustained during his UFC 264 battle with Dustin Poirier. That really hasn’t kept him out of problems, though. Regardless, he would have to suffer with a terrible injury during his third bout with Poirier. He said that he must go through a lot to overcome the hardship, but that he is doing extremely well now.
The Irish megastar is unlikely to come back until the second period of 2022. It is still to be certain who he will fight once he is healthy and ready to perform. Some have joked that MGK will be his warm-up fight before a comeback to the Octagon.
