A plumber’s daily work includes putting in pipes, supplying water and gas to homes, and transporting waste away from buildings. A plumber may also be asked to cut holes in walls and floors and hang steel supports on ceiling joists. To complete a job, a plumber must measure and cut the appropriate pipe to fit. To avoid making a mess, plumbers must be able to identify and prevent leaks.
